Besides the New England String Ensemble, Jeffrey Kazukiewicz performs with other ensembles such as Portland Symphony, New Hampshire Symphony, and Indian Hill Orchestra. He has appeared as a guest soloist numerous times performing such works as the Tchaikowsky Violin Concerto, Tzigane by Ravel, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 and Meditation of Thais by Jules Massenet. He has performed as a guest artist in the Ludwig Diehn Concert Series (Old Dominion University) premiering the Sonata for Violin and Piano by Ludwig Diehn and making the first live recording. He has also appeared as a guest soloist with the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra. In addition to the classical world Jeffrey Kazukiewicz was the violinist for the Grammy-nominated Jan Lewan Orchestra, performing regularly at such venues as Trump Taj Majal. He has recorded six albums with the Jan Lewan Orchestra, one of which is dedicated to a Polish Christmas. He was also active in the scene of Off-Broadway shows working along side of Steven Sondheim and Arthur Laurents, in the revival of “Do I Hear a Waltz” by Rogers and Hammerstein. He has also played a role in the recently released movie “The Human Stain” starring Anthony Hopkins and Nicole Kidman, seen performing in the Quintet. He appears frequently with many popular performers of past and present such as Ray Charles, Smokie Robinson, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman and others. His violin studies began at the age of 7 in Buffalo, NY under Frances
Bagdol Kaye & Charles Haupt of the Buffalo Philharmonic. At age 14,
he was awarded Town Proclamation award for “Highest Commitment
to the Arts.” He continued on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree
from Ithaca College under Pamela Gearhart and Debra Moree and his Master’s
Degree in Performance from the University of Akron where he received
a full assistantship for chamber music and was the teaching assistant
to Alan Bodman. While a student at Ithaca College, he performed as concertmaster
of both orchestras having been the youngest to earn such a position at
the school. As an active chamber music player, he was the former first
violinist of the Marini String Quartet. He is currently on faculty at
the Brooks School In North Andover, MA. |
